Le Dimanche 8 Janvier 2012, la communauté des ressortissants du Fouta-Djalon en Gambie a tenue une assemblée générale constitutive pour ériger la section de Pottal-Fii-Bhantal en Gambie.
C’est une assemblée massive et empreinte d’enthousiasme qui a vu la naissance de cette section.
Après une concertation élargie des nouveaux membres, il fut décidé à l’unanimité de s’engager dans la même lutte initiée par les sections de Pottal-Fii-Bhantal en Afrique, en Europe et en Amérique qui œuvrent pour le développement culturel et social de la communauté peuhle de Guinée.
Au terme de l’assemblée, fut mis en place un bureau dont les principaux membres sont :
• Abdoul Diallo (président)
• Elhadj Ditine (vice-président)
• Abdoulaye Naby Diallo (chargé de l’organisation)

Les ressortissants du Fouta-Djalon en Gambie suivent avec attention la situation politique dans notre pays.
Ils restent convaincus que l’engagement de chacun est plus que jamais nécessaire pour éviter à la Guinée une tragique répétition de l’histoire avec l'instauration d'une nouvelle dictature.
Ils invitent la communauté du Fouta-Djallon et celle guinéenne à une unité d’action pour l’éradication de l’impunité et l’émergence d’un Etat de droit en Guinée. Préalable sans lequel le dynamisme reconnu des ressortissants du Fouta-Djallon ne pourrait bénéficier la Guinée et ses enfants ainsi que la sous-région dans son ensemble.
Le bureau de la section invite tous les ressortissants du Fouta-Djallon résidant en Gambie à se joindre aux efforts de renaissance économique et culturelle pour la paix et la cohésion nationale en Guinée.

A branch of Pottal-Fii-Bhantal Futa-Jallon in The Gambia
On Sunday, January 8th, 2012, the community from Futa-Jallon in The Gambia held a general assembly meeting to set up a branch of Pottal-Fii-Bhantal in The Gambia.
The meeting leading to the birth of the organization was filled with massive enthusiasm from the participants. After a broad consultation, the members decided unanimously to commit to the same struggle geared toward cultural and social development of the Fulani community in Guinea as the other branches of Pottal-Fii-Bhantal throughout Africa, Europe and America.
At the end of the general assembly meeting, a board of officers was set up and is listed below:

The Fulani community of Futa-Jallon in The Gambia is following closely the political situation in Guinea. They remain convinced that the commitment of each and every one is more necessary than ever in order to avoid a tragic repetition of history with the rise of a new dictatorship.
The community calls the Fulani and the whole Guinean community to a common purpose to eradicate impunity and foster the emergence of the rule of law in Guinea. Without this precondition, the well known dynamism of Fulani will neither benefit Guinea and its children, nor the sub-region as a whole.
The board of Pottal-Fii-Bhantal Gambia invites the people from Futa-Jallon residing in The Gambia to join the efforts for economic and cultural renaissance in order to achieve peace and national cohesion in Guinea.
