Guinée: Offre d’Emploi : Senior Governance Expert, Guinea

ARD, Inc. requests expressions of interest from highly qualified Senior Governance Expert candidates for a USAID-funded initiative in Guinea (Conakry), West Africa. The anticipated project will promote multi-sectoral interventions in Guinea to advance democratic governance. The start date for the project is on or around February 2007 and should end no later than September 30, 2009.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Governance Expert will provide senior technical guidance and staff support in the area of democracy and governance, and in the integration of DG approaches to cross-sectoral programming for governance impacts. The candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, management experience and ability to obtain results.
Required Qualifications:
-- 10 years development experience overseas;
-- Experience working in Guinea or within the West Africa region;
-- Fluency in both French and English;
-- Master’s degree or higher in relevant technical field;
-- Requisite skills and experience to engage in cross-sectoral approaches to development (Education, Health, Agriculture, Governance, etc.);
-- An excellent understanding of USAID technical approaches and priorities;
-- Experience working successfully as part of a multidisciplinary team and in partnership with other organizations; and
-- A track record of highly successful cooperation with host country governments and USAID missions.
